PRB: Migration to SQL Server may result in error "Invalid object name 'LOG9855B'"
Article

Affected Versions

  • M-Files 6.0.2325.14

Summary

Migrating an M-Files document vault to SQL Server may result in the following error message: Invalid object name 'LOG9855B'. After the error, the vault can be used from the client side but managing the vault using M-Files Server Administrator is not possible because the error message prevents access to the vault.

Solution

To resolve the problem, upgrade your M-Files installation on the server to version 6.0.2325.16 or newer. You can download the latest available M-Files version at http://www.m-files.com/download/.

Additional Information

After migrating a document vault from the Firebird database engine to Microsoft SQL Server using M-Files 6.0.2325.14, the vault database may incorrectly contain the LOG9855B vault variable even though the corresponding database table LOG9855B does not exist. This results in an error when M-Files Server attempts to access the LOG9855B table. The problem has been fixed in M-Files 6.0.2325.16 and newer versions.
